Trim Levels
The X1 comes in two trim levels: sDrive28i and xDrive28i. The sDrive28i has a starting MSRP of $33,100, while the xDrive28i has a starting MSRP of $35,100. On the exterior, each vehicle comes with halogen headlights, halogen fog lights, chrome tailpipe finishers, satin aluminum roof rails, matte chrome trim, privacy glass in the rear windows, and Y spoke light alloy wheels.
Engine
Both the sDrive28i and the xDrive28i come standard with a 2.0-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo inline 16-valve, four-cylinder engine that gets 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Additionally, both X1 trim levels come with an eight-speed automatic transmission that includes Manual and Sport modes, electronic throttle control, and brake energy regeneration.
Performance
If you're looking for power and efficiency, you'll find both in the X1. Feel the surge of acceleration as the sDrive28i takes you from zero to 60 miles per hour in just 6.6 seconds and the xDrive28i gets up to the same speed in 6.3 seconds. You will also enjoy the efficiency of an estimated 31 miles per gallon on the highway.

Additionally, you'll appreciate an advanced chassis with dynamic stability control and dynamic traction control. These features make sure you have the right traction and stability by monitoring for oversteering or understeering. If they detect either issue, they help keep the vehicle on course to get you over tough surfaces or through adverse driving conditions. Plus, not only does dynamic traction control give you a sportier ride, but it also gives you more thrust and a better grip in poor weather and low-traction situations.
Interior
Each X1 trim level comes with comforts and conveniences such as a leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel with controls for Bluetooth wireless communication, audio system, and cruise control; automatic climate control; power windows with a one-touch feature on the front windows; a 6.5-inch center screen; a seven-speaker audio system with AM/FM radio, CD player, and MP3 jack; and a key memory that includes the most recently used exterior mirror settings, climate control temperature, seat settings, lighting preferences, and radio presets.

Additionally, no matter what you have planned for the day, the X1 has the cargo space to help make it happen. It offers a best-in-class 58.7 cubic feet of cargo room when you fold down the seats. There are storage compartments for all your small items, and the flexible 40/20/40 rear folding seats help you fit any combination of cargo and passengers.
Safety Features
Inside each X1 you'll find safety features such as front and side-impact airbags, knee airbags, sensors in the front passenger seat to stop unnecessary airbag deployment, automatic pretensioners on the front safety belts, automatic locking retractors on all passenger safety belts, and a sensor that turns on the interior lights and hazard lights, unlocks the doors, and turns off the fuel pump in the event of a collision.
