The i4
With the all-electric i4 Gran Coupe, starting at $52,995, drivers enjoy style like no other that is coupled perfectly with unbridled performance. Featuring the latest fifth-generation eDrive technology, the i4 and its all-wheel drive dual motor presents 536 maximum horsepower and 586 lb-ft of torque. This vehicle climbs to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds.
This i4 M50 is built with BMW’s near-perfect 50/50 weight distribution that provides not only better balance but responsiveness that benefits each and every drive. In addition, a low-mounted battery reduces the center of gravity and improves body rigidity.
Precision handling with suspension components, body panels and a chassis comprised of innovative materials like high-tensile steel and aluminum rounds out this model, with standard Rear Air Suspension delivering a consistent ride height and true comfort.
Since its debut last year, the 2023 i4 receives a new entry-level eDrive35 model and uses a smaller 66.0-kWh battery pack that results in its 260-mile range. The dual-motor all-wheel-drive has the same 81.5-kWh battery but its range tops out at 245 miles.
Preferred is the high-performance M50 as it comes standard with what is considered a very assertive appearance, complete with 19-inch tires. It also features upgraded brakes with blue calipers.
An interior is marked with several wonderful vernasca leather options, rose gold trim and light wood trim, a Premium package with ambient interior lighting, heated seats and steering wheel and lumbar support. Its layout is similar to other BMW models, with the i4 featuring a massive, seamless display that spans nearly two-thirds of the dashboard. Other options are adaptive LED headlights, ventilated front seats, Harman Kardon sound system and wireless charging. A dramatic rear roofline is also present, as is a traditional trunk.
Considered a very important piece of BMW’s expanding EV portfolio, the i4 sedan and its battery powertrain and highly refined road manners earns a 10Best award-winning combination. Considered a perfect daily driver, the i4 does lack the steering feedback enjoyed in other M cars. Despite that, it is an exciting and satisfying sport sedan with handling to match!
The i5
Unbelievable luxury marks this model, as does an athletic look and feel. Add to that the top in technology, and this sedan, starting at $67,795, has it all! Leading with executive presence,
dynamic performance and best-in-class technology, this all-electric i5 is truly captivating from start to finish.
Two i5 models are presented, beginning with the 335-hp eDrive 40, which drives the rear wheels thanks to a single electric motor.
With an all-wheel drive dual motor, the hotter M60 xDrive model produces 586 lb-ft of torque and 593 maximum horsepower. It climbs from 0-60 mph in just 3.7 seconds and is engineered for pure dynamism. Built for balance, responsiveness and nimble steering, the i5 and its low-mounted battery results in a low center of gravity. M60 models also are featured with anti-roll bars, a sporty suspension tune, wider tires and rear-wheel steering, all of which speak to the sedan’s athleticism.
A spacious and luxurious cabin is found within, with the space not interrupted by the battery. Leather upholstery is also found here, with faux leather also an option as is a set of cool glass interior controls. Heated and ventilated front seats with massage features round out the interior options on the eDrive40, although standard on the M60 xDrive.
A dashboard in the i5 is dominated by a large, curved panel that incorporates a 12.3-inch digital gauge display as well as a 14.9-inch infotainment touchscreen. Easy to use, the latest iDrive 8.5 interface is found within and can be updated via over-the-air updates if the need arises. While the head-up display is optional, all of the models come with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, in-dash navigation, a wireless smartphone charging pad, a Harman/Kardon stereo system and onboard Wi-Fi hotspot.
The i5 is presented with varying modes that appeal to all senses, including Personal, Sport, Efficient, Expressive, Relax and Digital Art.

When it comes to fuel efficiency, the EPA considers the eDrive40 the most efficient model, rated at 105 MPGe highway, versus the M60 xDrive rated for only 86 MPGe highway.
A slew of driver-assistance features are also found here, including automated emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring, as well as advanced features like BMW’s Highway Assistant hands-free driving mode. Other key features include standard automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, standard lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist and available adaptive cruise control with hands-free driving mode.

The i7
Starting at $105,700 with an impressive range from 301-321 miles, the i7 eDrive 50 and the i7 xDrive 60 at $124,200 and a range from 298-317 is refined elegance personified. Get ready to truly leave your mark when behind the wheel, with an interior design rooted in luxury and one that embraces each and every detail. From a Panoramic Sky Lounge and LED roof, this i7, and its celestial sights and lushness within is not to be missed.
Take advantage of a modern Curved Display that spans the dashboard, and features an Interaction Bar made of sleek, faceted glass. Exquisite glass controls also speak to luxury. The senses are also stimulated thanks to Celestial sights within, including a wide range of ambient lighting moods via a dynamic LED control. Lush seating is also enjoyed with drivers and passengers alike finding great comfort and style thanks to standard Merino leather. Spacious, luxurious and upscale, the i7 is also chock full of high-tech convenience.

All-wheel drive i7s utilize a similar electric powertrain set up as the brand’s EV, SUV and the iX, with two electric motors, one driving each axle, and resulting in a combined 536 hp. The i7 reached speeds of 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds, with the rear-wheel drive eDrive 50 model making 449 hp and the more powerful M70 increasing that to 650 hp. This model will jump to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds.
Drivers realize incredibly agile handling for a large sedan, which feels surprisingly light.
Standard on the i7 is 19-inch wheels but with the larger and more attractive 20- and 21-inch resulting in the driving range dropping.
The vehicle’s 101.7-kWh battery pack can be hooked up to DC fast charging stations and is said to be capable of adding 80 miles of driving range in just 10 minutes on such a connection. BMW is also including three years of free 30-minute charging sessions at Electrify America charging stations with every new i7.
A variety of safety features is presented with this model, including available advanced tech options. That includes hands-free driving mode for use on highway and a parking assistant system. The iX
Featuring two electric motors as opposed to a single gasoline engine, the entry-level xDrive50 models offer 516 hp with the performance-oriented M60 trim complete with 610 ponies. The iX xDrive50 can get to 60 mph in just 4.0 seconds and the M60 in just 3.2 seconds.
Thanks to a 105.2kWh battery pack, drive range is more than 300 miles between charges, with 2024 also unveiling the car’s new Parking Assistant Professional feature. This allows drivers the
ability to remotely park the SUV via a smartphone app. If that’s not impressive enough, the system within your iX can remember up to 10 different locations.
