In the area of power, the 7-Series is presented with a choice of three powertrain options: a turbocharged inline-six, a plug-in hybrid or a powerful twin-turbo V-8. They each have their own special flavor, with even those desiring an EV getting their needs met in the 7-Series i7. Standard is a 375-hp turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six, with models holding this designation termed 740i. This results in the car’s agile performance, with a keen focus on
athleticism. Thanks to this power, the 740i is expected to make the jump from 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds. In recent testing, the 760i xDrive accomplished that in just 3.5 seconds.
