Power personified!
The B8 is truly exceptional when it comes to what is under hood, with the Alpina getting its power from a 4.4-liter V-8 Bi-Turbo, resulting in a total output of 612 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque, bringing forth performance of the highest level and an effortless power delivery. Helping to bring that power forward is the standard BMW xDrive and AWD system with Alpina calibration. An 8-speed Sport Automatic transmission with Automatic, Sport and Manual shift modes, including ALPINA SWITCH-TRONIC software with quick-shift buttons, are featured. An exhaust system that is unique provides an experience that rivals its M sibling, if not rises above. Thanks to the N63 under hood, the Alpina is tuned for peerless acceleration and outstanding power delivery. And since it is linked to all out exclusivity, badging is even found on the engine, with lettering prominent on its cover.
Exterior refresh!
On the outside, the B8 for 2023 makes clear a mild refresh, including a new, illuminated grille at front as well as U-shaped vertical slats the are no longer attached to the grille surrounds. New exterior paints specific and exclusive to the Alpina are also on tap this year, including ALPINA Blue and ALPINA Green metallics, as well as hues like Sunset Orange, plus more.
Unique exterior badging is also found here as are touches that separate this B8 from standard and M-tuned 8 Series variants. A model-specific front air dam features bold and distinct ALPINA lettering across it and in the back. These are among the subtle Alpina exterior touches this year.
The vehicle sits atop 21-inch Light Alloy ALPINA CLASSIC wheels, which boast a Noise Cancelling System that speaks to acoustic comfort.
An overall unique design throughout, the B8 boasts front and rear aprons that serve to reduce wind resistance, while increasing the flow of cooling air to the engine and powertrain. Revised suspension is also found here, which includes Eibach springs, reinforced sway bars and a rear-axle steering system. The Alpina B8 is rounded out with a unique deck lid spoiler and front bumper design.

A look inside the B8 and behind the wheel reveals an extraordinary 8 series. Luxury abounds with a beautiful LAVALINA leather steering wheel boasting blue and green stitching as well as an ALPINA roundel. Behind the wheel, drivers enjoy an ALPINA-specific gauge cluster design, which features a blue color scheme or green in Sport modes. A 210 mph speedometer also represents a luxurious touch.
A special highlight within is a stunning crystal glass iDrive controller which is laser-etched with the ALPINA logo and pairs beautifully and seamlessly with the “8” engraved in the shifter. This cabin is especially eye-catching at night, thanks to configurable LED interior lighting as well as blue lighting that illuminates the start button, shifter and more.
A new Live Cockpit Professional is also to be enjoyed within, with the infotainment’s touchscreen increasing from 10.3 to 12.3 inches.
