Have the need to keep things new and fresh? Then look no further than the 2021 BMW 5 Series LCI, considered the coolest BMW of all times! Get a taste of what is to come with the newly revealed LCI generation of the BMW 5 Series, a powerhouse sedan in every way, shape and form. A welcome makeover has resulted in this all-new vehicle plunging deservingly into the spotlight. Featuring a blend of the most recent BMW exterior design cues, this next generation is all about mature styling. From a more massive and tridimensional radiator grille to reinterpreted vertical slats and muscular kidney frames, the new 5 series is all out bold and unbelievably attractive.

Exterior styling
The new facelift 5 series has a more angular appearance, with LED headlights featuring sharp creases, as well as redesigned front and rear bumpers. At the rear, new LED taillights have received new inner graphics and darkened out sections, bringing the 5 Series in perfect harmony with the rest of the BMW model lineup. In addition, a protruding grille contributes to the vehicle’s more assertive look, while headlights gain L-shaped lighting elements. Taller and wider, the vehicle’s new kidney grilles emphasize their closeness with the 7-series and the X7. From the side, the view is a curious character line. Add bronze trim and the new look is all out sporty!

Visual cues inside
From a high-energy premium feel interior featuring adjustable driving modes and performance seats, spirited driving is found here without a doubt. Also inside, new contrasting stitching is among the modest changes and is considered a significant improvement. In addition, driver-assistance and infotainment systems have been given an overhaul, with new cloud-based maps and a vast array of further options, all of which aim at giving driver’s complete control and the ability to personalize the vehicle. A new and larger 12.3-inch touchscreen display is found to be notable and the infotainment system now features Android Auto capability, while also maintaining Apple CarPlay functionality. Controls on the center console are now presented in High-gloss black.

Driving personified
Thanks to the pulse-racing M Mode, available for the first time on this all-new 5 Series, an exciting and all-new driving dimension is certain to be had! This new sedan adapts the Digital Instrument Cluster and other vehicle systems specifically for performance driving. Drivers have the choice of switching between ROAD, SPORT, and the ultimate focus of TRACK mode. Extra bolsters for tight corners can be found in the standard M Sport seats, as can heating for cooler climates. These seats are presented with new fine-grain and supple Merino Leather upholstery options, giving driver and passenger the ultimate in luxury and style.

Power packed
The new LCI’s engine will be suspected of using the 745e powertrain, which employed straight-six gasoline engines developing 210 kW/286 PS (282 HP) and electro-motorized rated at 83 kW/113 PS (111 HP). The combined output of the hybrid architecture plug-in reaches 394 PS (388 HP) and a torque peak of 600 nm.

Apart from the electro version, the2021 BMW 5 Series LCI  will line up with the already popular variants, thrifty and powerful diesel engines in the form of the 520d/530d Duo, the complete line up of low-start petrol engines consisting of 520i/530i/540i Trio and Range-topping Quad-Turbo M550d with 400 PS (395 HP), V8 powered M550i with 530 PS (523 HP) and high-performance M5/M5 competitions, boasted from 600 PS (592 HP) to 625 PS (617 HP).

New iDrive system
The 2021 BMW 5 Series LCI gets the brand’s new iDrive system, which boasts the latest software and UI, resulting in a more modern car that is much easier to use. This new set up is better than ever before and undoubtedly more high-tech.

Aside from the styling changes, the facelift is also allegedly bringing M Sport brakes with red calipers for the first time on the 5 Series.

Wave of future
Features in the all-new 2021 BMW 5 Series LCI speak to the future path toward automated driving. Those include the Optional Integral Active Steering, which offers great assistance in low-speed maneuvering, Optional Driving Assistant and Optional Parking Assistant with additional reversing assistant function. A new BMW Drive Recorder for 2021 records up to 40 seconds of video footage from points around the vehicle.

Even more upgrades
With the LCI comes the premiere of BMW Maps, which is a new cloud-based navigation system that offers fast and precise calculation of your routes and arrival times. It also provides real-time traffic data updates at short intervals, and drivers need to just enter any word when selecting their destination. Standard smartphone integration now also features Android Auto, in addition to Apple CarPlay, wireless connectivity, information shown in the Control Display, instrument cluster and Head-Up Display.
