New and improved!

This is a reveal worth waiting for! For 2025, BMW has unveiled a facelift for the M4, with updates both cosmetic and internal, and sure to enhance this already top seller. From new headlights, rear lights, a revised steering wheel, a power boost and more, the M4 and its enhancements called the LCI or Life Cycle Impulse are worth a second look! Trading in yours? That might be your next best choice!

What we know!

With more power and technology and even more ways to customize, updates for the M4 begin under hood, with the vehicle’s 3.0-litre, straight-six engine upgraded to produce 530 hp, which represents a 20 hp boost over the previous model. That extra boost of power propels the M4 from 0-62 mph in just 3.5 seconds. And because drivers can still opt for a manual transmission, the facelifted M4 is just plain better and faster than the outgoing model.

On the outside, the M4 is re-styled with a new headlight design and taillights that feature laser technology to complement the cluster shape, and result in a more modern appearance than models that came before. This design with the black surround on the rear roundrel and an optional M design graphic pays homage to the look of the current M4 CSL. At rear, the surface on which the BMW logo is found has also received an update, resulting in a more elegant yet intense look and feel.

Wheels have also been given a refresh, with M forged light-alloy wheels presented as standard, 19 inches up front and 20 at rear, and feature a new double-spoke design with a silver finish for the first time.

Inside, and starting with the steering wheel, BMW has flattened its lower edge while at the same time adorning the top with a red stripe at 12 o’clock resulting in that race car feel! Other updates within include an M-style Alcantara finish, made available for the very first time, as well as an optional heated version. Electrically adjustable M sport seats are also standard, with the dashboard and control panel presented in Aluminum Rhombicle Anthracite M trim as standard. Carbon fibre alternatives are also available and upholstery trim is presented in four Merino leather configurations and in four hues. New standard Dark Graphite interior trim is found within, with ambient lighting extending the central air surrounds.

In the area of technology, the curved display returns for the newest iterations of the M4 Coupe and Convertible. In addition, the BMW Operating System 8.5 powers the dual screens, and Live Cockpit Professional is presented as standard. This new software has resulted in a decrease in the number of physical buttons when it comes to the interior design.

Pricing for the 2025 M4 with these enhancements start at $79,100 for the base coupe, with the M4 Competition Coupe coming in at $83,200 and the Competition xDrive Coupe at $88,300. At top of the range is the M4 Competition xDrive Convertible with a starting price of $95,300.

While many of these changes are minor overall, with the exception of the boost in horsepower, they are noteworthy nonetheless. Stunning new lighting, improved technology from the limited edition M4 CSL and new, sharp graphics, the M4 is that much better.

Planned for production in March, with customer deliveries expected the following month, the facelifted M4, more advanced and more sophisticated than the outgoing model, is not just a pretty face! It is also not the only model experiencing change. BMW M CEO Frank Van Meel confirmed that for 2024, the standard M3 will get a facelift as well as the brand-new M5 and M5 Touring with V8 engines.

Updates only serve to enhance an already sharp vehicle, with a boost in power also on hand heading into 2025. Above the surface and below, see what this new and improved model is all about, and reserve yours today
